Has this ever happened to you?

You’re rolling along, things are going well, your business is
growing, and then “Wham!”  And you get so caught up in getting
things fixed, corrected, or whatever…and then 4 weeks or 8
weeks or more has passed by…

and you ask yourself, “How did that happen?”

Not to go into the details with you, but it happened to me
in early August, and the next thing I knew I hadn’t written
my weekly message for 8 weeks.

Here’s the point and lesson for me (and maybe you).

You have to be ever vigilant, always “on top of things” as
best you can.  And don’t assume…anything.

It hit me from 3 different directions, all at once.  Colleen
told me I even got a little down (but not for long).  There’s
only one way out, and that’s to keep moving forward and, and
it’s a biggie, do it with the right attitude.  I even put a
small mirror next to my computer so that I would remember to
smile.

Wasn’t easy, but now that I’m moving out of all of it, I’m
glad I did smile.  Looking back some of it even seems funny.

And what I also discovered was that, since I was in “active”
mode, 2 new business ideas came about.  One we’ve already begun
implementing, and our projections are totally upside.  I
might have let them pass me by if I’d not been totally aware.

An old “extra” Beatitude I once heard goes, “Blessed are the
flexible, for they shall never be bent out of shape.”  We’ve
definitely had to maintain flexibility.

What’s this mean to you?

Don’t assume.  We’ve all heard it, but it’s real.  Then, if and
when the _____ hits the fan, understand that “this too shall
pass.”  Money and things can be replaced, but maintain your
attitude of thanksgiving for what you do have…your health,
your relationships, and your spiritual foundation (assuming
that’s important to you.

Until next week
